Sheikh Zayed sits just outside Cairo — far enough for quiet streets and gardens, close enough that nothing worth seeing is a trek. Approximate off-peak drive times from our Karma Residence homes — traffic can increase them, and each home's own page lists its exact times:
Cairo International Airport is roughly 60 minutes away, depending on traffic.
Mall of Arabia, Mall of Egypt, Arkan Plaza and Americana Plaza — international brands, cinemas, fine dining and local gems, all within a short drive.
Minutes from Smart Village and Capital Business Park, with fibre internet and a working space in every home — a favourite with business travellers and remote workers.
Tree-lined streets, gated communities and landscaped parks. Our compounds are made for morning walks and evenings outside, not traffic noise.
Secure compounds with 24/7 security, excellent hospitals and clinics nearby, good schools, and plenty for children to do at a relaxed pace.
Our neighbourhood is not affected by Egypt's scheduled power cuts, so your stay isn't interrupted — worth knowing if you are working through the day.
We're a short drive away, we speak Arabic, English and German, and you'll have our direct contact from the moment you book.
Sheikh Zayed is where Cairo comes up for air. Wide streets, gardens and a slower kind of evening — and still, a restaurant for every mood a few minutes from your door and the Pyramids an easy morning away. This is the shape of a week here.
Every guest receives the full guide with their booking confirmation: the two or three best places for every kind of food, ready-made day plans, and the drive time to each one from your own home.

Egyptian home cooking with the kitchen open to the room. Lebanese mezze, Syrian shawarma, Yemeni mandi, Armenian, sushi, steak, pizza worth the drive. Breakfast places that take the whole morning, specialty coffee, and oriental sweets sold by weight in boxes made for taking home.

The Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum, close enough to be there as the gates open. The older, emptier pyramids at Saqqara and Dahshur, where some mornings you have them nearly to yourself. The Citadel and Al-Muizz Street, Coptic Cairo, and a felucca on the Nile at the hour the city turns gold.

Indoor play centres, arcades and laser tag, a theme park with proper rides, and real snow in the middle of the desert. On a slower day, an afternoon at a mall built around a fountain, with somewhere for the grown-ups to sit while it happens.

A massage or a Moroccan bath. Nails, a barber who does not rush. A padel court booked online for the evening. Or a quiet cafe and a working day that does not feel like one.

Two of the largest malls in Egypt are a short drive, with the international names under one roof. Nearer home, small neighbourhood malls for the everyday. And gold, jewellery, Egyptian cotton and souvenirs worth the suitcase space.

A supermarket minutes away, pharmacies open around the clock, and a hospital with a 24-hour emergency room. Cash machines, a mosque and a church, laundry and dry-cleaning — all inside the neighbourhood.
Uber, Careem and inDrive all work seamlessly here — download one before you arrive and you're set.
Sphinx International is about 30 minutes away; Cairo International about 60. Book the Cairo Airport Shuttle for a fixed-rate transfer, or ask us to arrange the private driver we use ourselves — just send us your arrival details.
