Sheikh Zayed · Cairo

Stay like you live here.

The kettle's on and the gate's open. Four homes in quiet, gated Sheikh Zayed, looked after by the two people who own them — close to the family you came to see, the work at Smart Village, the treatment you came for, and the malls that make a day out.

Your hosts

Hello — we're Khaled & Sarah.

أهلاً وسهلاً — بيتنا بيتك.

Two of us, four homes, ten minutes away. We prepare each one ourselves and answer the messages ourselves — there is no management company standing between you and the people who own the place.

Khaled fixes things before you notice them. Sarah designs the homes and leaves the basket on the table. Between us: Arabic, English, German, and an attempt at French.

Why guests come

Close to the reasons people actually come to Zayed.

Family, first of all

Most of our guests come to see family in Zayed and 6th of October — and need a whole home nearby rather than a hotel room. Visitors are welcome until 10 PM, and there's room for everyone at the table.

Work that can't wait

Smart Village and Capital Business Park are fifteen minutes away, and every home has fibre internet and a working space.

Treatment and recovery

Dar Al Fouad, Baheya, Rofayda and El Nada are all minutes away. A quiet home with a full kitchen, weekly cleaning and everything delivered to the door is a gentler place to recover than a hotel room — for the patient, and for the family staying with them.

Shopping and days out

Mall of Arabia in ten minutes, Arkan Plaza and Americana for dinner, Galleria and the fruit market round the corner — and everything else delivered by Talabat, Rabbit, Breadfast or Amazon Now within the hour.

And then there is the rest of the week.

Egyptian home cooking and Lebanese mezze minutes from the door. The Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum before lunch. Snow for the children, a padel court for the evening, and a supermarket, a pharmacy and a hospital close to every home.

"A great choice if you are a family that seeks an accessible location to all Zayed's landmarks — Arkan Plaza, Galleria and so on. Fully furnished and covered most of my needs. Super safe and lovely hosts."

"As someone who needed to work from home, it was truly home away from home with very stable internet — the fastest in all of Egypt. The home was very spacious and the hosts were truly wonderful and helpful people!"

"Nous sommes venus nous installer en Égypte pour un an et, avant de trouver notre logement, nous sommes restés deux semaines chez Khaled et Sarah. Et quel plaisir ! Le logement est propre, très bien fourni — il y a tout !"

We came to settle in Egypt for a year and stayed two weeks with Khaled and Sarah while we looked for a place of our own. What a pleasure — spotless, and everything you could need is there.

Good to know

The four things everyone asks.

Everything else lives in the house manual, and in the WhatsApp group we open the day your booking is confirmed — a late flight, an early arrival, a gate that needs warning. The basket on the table takes care of itself.

The welcome basket — water, snacks and local treats waiting on the kitchen counter

How do I actually get in?

No keys to collect and nobody to chase. Your house manual arrives as soon as we have your documents, and the lock-box code lands 24 hours before you fly.

When can I arrive?

From 3 PM, and out by noon. Earlier or later is often fine — ask us and we'll see what the cleaning schedule allows.

What if something needs fixing?

Message the WhatsApp group we open for your stay — it's the fastest way to reach us. Emad looks after repairs and we'll get someone to you as quickly as we can.

Can we have visitors?

Yes — family and friends are welcome until 10 PM. Visits are for family gatherings: we live in a small, close-knit community, so we ask guests to respect Egyptian and Islamic custom, and we do not host mixed-gender gatherings of unmarried guests.
